This in from Bloomberg:
"Gangs of youths destroyed 177 cars and fired four live bullets at police in a seventh night of violence which has spread to 20 Paris suburbs".

Well, this story broke one hour ago. Faced with this massive show of force, the French goverment has probably raised the white flag and surrendered by now. Paris is probably being controled by 15 yr old immigrants that don't even realize what's going on. De Villepin and his cabinet have donned their resistance berets, hopped onto their mopeds, and sped for the Belgian border. Can you imagine their reception in Brussels, and evetually the United Nations? Tear-streaked faces, twisted in agony as they desribe those four live bullets ripping through the air of Paris. What were the police to do when faced with live bullets? The U.N. will certainly need to send troops and aid, but that could take years of failed resolutions to actually happen.....the french are doomed.
